I was amazed to see that there are still smaller independent hardware stores still around, especially one located midway between a Lowes and Home Depot. The young proprietors were welcoming, friendly and helpful. What drew me there was the need for Benjamin Moore paint samples which were quickly provided. While waiting for the samples, I roamed the store and old memories and smells came back from the past. Since they seemed to have much the same hardware, plumbing and sundry items carried by the BIG BOXES albeit in lesser variety and quantity, I will endeavour to visit them when I need that particular item and support their small enterprise. Keep up the tradition guys!

I’ve been to Bills Hardware a few times years ago ,, after recently moving back to the area I noticed its now called North Haven paint and hardware and decided to stop in for paint . It was nice to find that this business still runs in the same family . I’ve been back for a few things since . Terri is always nice ! (and helpful in finding what you need) , if they don’t have exactly what your looking for they’ll even order it for you ! Its original location is also very convenient , not far from the Big Box Stores where you’ll waste an hour trying to find what you need !

Would give 100 stars if that was possible!!! This is the only hardware store I will ever go to. Never returning to a big box store like Home Depot. The staff here is amazing, especially Anthony. I wish every company could have a clone of him, then I'd get excellent customer service everywhere I went. But, sadly, Anthony cannot be cloned, so until he can be, I will come here for literally everything I can, from key copies to windows screens to paint, I have even stopped here to buy a lighter, bought a pocket knife another time, a chain for my dog run, command strips to hang pictures....I needed a foldable shopping cart, got it here instead of going to Walmart. Support your local small businesses, especially North Haven Paint & Hardware! Ask for Anthony!

Excellent hardware store and paint supplies. If you're doing paint work, skip the big box home improvement stores and come here -- they've got a much better selection of high quality supplies. I was recently in search of Zinsser Shieldz primer and this was the only place where I could find it.

I was immediately impressed with the knowledgeable and helpful people behind the counter. The store has an ambiance of the friendly neighborhood hardware store. Customers needing large power tools or a gallon of paint, or even just 2 screws, they have it, and they serviced each customer with excellent individualized service that is rare these days.
